2010 Manitowish Waters Lions Club Flea
Market Guidelines
Lions Club
representatives will be on site every Thursday morning, June through
August (and September weather permitting) at 6 AM to facilitate early
setup. Upon a vendor’s arrival, the Grounds Supervisor will identify
the site layout, answer questions and guide the vendor to the sites.
Vendors will be given an envelope and then will go and select their
choice of sites. After a site is selected, the vendor will fill out the
information requested on the envelope and insert the required fee amount
into the envelope. Payment should be by check or cash only. Late
morning, a Lions Club representative will collect the envelopes, review
the information and provide a receipt to the vendor.
All sites are marked
with a numbered sign and are available on a first-come, first-serve
basis (except reserved sites). All sites are 14-foot wide and vendors
should honor the site alignments. Sites may be reserved on a monthly or
seasonal basis by paying the appropriate fee to the Grounds Supervisor.
In September, vendors will be polled for their choice of site(s) for
the next year; first seasonal vendors, then monthly vendors and then
other vendors. Site fees are $8 daily, $30 monthly and $75 for the
entire season.
The use of a reserved
site is not transferable to another vendor. If a reserved site is not
occupied by 8:00 AM on a given Thursday, or the Lions Club is not
notified the vendor may arrive late, the site may be offered for use to
other vendors at the discretion of the Lions Club Grounds Supervisor.
At the end of the day, vendors are asked to leave a clean site. Because
the Market is located adjacent to Highway 51, a fair amount of drive-by
traffic during the day will occur. Vendors are expected to remain setup
from early/mid-morning to mid-afternoon each Thursday.
Vendor’s suggestions,
questions and comments to the Grounds Supervisor are welcome in making
this the best area Flea Market event. Additional information is
available at mwlionsclub.com or Manitowish Waters Lions Club, P.O. Box
301, Manitowish Waters, Wis., 54545 or by calling Mark Suckow (543-8748)
or Dave Wickeham (543-2867).
