2012 Manitowish Waters Lions Club
Flea/Craft/Farm Market Guidelines
Welcome to the
Manitowish Waters Club Flea/Craft/Farm Market. It is the Lions Club’s
intention to make this the best area market event benefiting both
vendors and customers. The following are guidelines for vendor set-up
in 2012:
Lions Club
representatives will be on site every Thursday morning, June through
August (and September weather permitting) at 6 AM to facilitate an early
setup. Upon a vendor’s arrival, the Grounds Supervisor will describe
the site layout, answer questions, give a payment envelope and guide the
vendor to the available daily sites. After site selection, the vendor
will complete the envelope and insert the $8 daily fee per site (cash or
check). Late morning, a Lions Club representative will collect the
payment envelope, review the information and provide a receipt to the
vendor.
Daily sites:
All sites available for the day (daily sites) are marked with a numbered
sign and are available on a first-come, first serve basis. All sites
are 14-foot wide and vendors should honor the site alignments. One
vendor may rent only two sites on the bike path. A vendor occupying a
daily site may request to reserve that same site the next week for $10.
There are always sufficient daily sites available.
Reserved
Sites: Sites may be reserved on a monthly
($30) or seasonal ($75) basis. Reserved sites are not transferable to
another vendor. Reserved site vendors are expected to notify the
Grounds Supervisor by Wednesday 6 PM if they are not able to occupy
their site the next day. If a reserved site is not occupied by 7:30 AM
and no late arrival notification previously is given, the site may be
offered for use to another vendor as a daily site.
Vendors are expected
to remain setup until at least 2:30 PM each Thursday. Because the
Market is located adjacent to Highway 51, considerable
drive-by-stop-and-shop traffic will occur during the day. At the end of
the day, vendors are asked to leave a clean site.
Vendor’s suggestions,
questions and comments to the Grounds Supervisor are welcome in making
this the best area Flea/Craft/Farm Market event. Additional information
