Lion's Club in Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin

The Manitowish Waters Lions Club is a community and social service organization dedicated to the idea that the men and women who live in the community are in the best position to help and promote that community.

The Club meets socially on a monthly schedule with its purpose and focus being to work to improve and promote the Manitowish Waters community. The Manitowish Waters Lions Club supports the Wisconsin State Lions Camp for handicapped children, scholarships for area students, the Manitowish Waters Volunteer Fire Department, the Frank B. Koller Library, eye glass distribution program and other worthwhile local charities. It is affiliated with the more then 46,000 clubs that are a part of Lions Clubs International.

Lions are an international network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world.

Known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters.
