Lions Club Hosts Successful Breakfast

The Manitowish Waters
Lions Club’s annual Memorial Day weekend pancake breakfast was a
resounding success. In all 476 were served; the last 17 received a
reduced rate because the club ran out of sausage and blueberry sauce.
Parker Sharpe, the organizer of these annual breakfasts, said it is very
difficult to estimate how many would come each year, and usually there
is food left over, but this year the club was over-whelmed by the great
support for the event.
Before and after
church services drew many families to enjoy the all-you-can-eat
breakfast; there were fishermen who delayed hitting the water and others
who came in following some time casting: they all enjoyed being waited
on for the bountiful meal.
